The bigger bikes are meant for the taller riders, like the 24 – inch, 26 – inch and the 28 – inch bikes. Smaller children should stay off the bigger bikes as they could be unsafe for the child.

The area between the handlebar and the seat, if their is no bar than the bike is meant for a female. A bike with the top bar is for a male. But their are riders that does not matter to them.

The right bike will make you feel comfortable. The rider should be able to reach the handlebar without a problem, sit on the seat and be able to put both feet flat on the ground. Height of the handlebar and the seal are also important.

Some states and country require that a rider wear a helmet for safety. The helmet will protect you and your head from injuries if you fall off your bike.

The correct footwear will help keep your feet from slipping off the pedals, when your feet slip off the pedals it can cause you to lose control of the bike and fall. Flip flops are a bad choice to wear when riding bikes.

Gloves are another accessory you can buy to ride your bike. The gloves can help you get a better grip of the handlebars and help you control the bike. Sunglasses are also available to help keep the sun out of your eyes so you can see where you are going.
